Ambassador Anneli Lindahl-Kenny served as the Ambassador to Bangladesh for the Kingdom of Sweden from 2010 – 2014.
After graduating with a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Uppsala University in 1980 and obtaining university credits in French and the European Convention on Human Rights from Stockholm University. Anneli Lindahl Kenny did a 2.5 year Clerkship program in the Office of the Prosecutor General of Stockholm and the Central District Court of Stockholm.
She entered the Swedish Foreign Service in 1983. After completion of a one year training course for diplomats she has been posted to Swedish Embassies in Manila, Paris, Windhoek, Nairobi and the Swedish Delegation to UN in Geneva as well as spent periods in the Ministry for Foreign affairs in Stockholm. She has also worked for three years as Secretary to the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Swedish Parliament. She is married to Leo Kenny and have three children Martin born 1990, Emma and Lisa born 1994.
The Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bangladesh (NCCI) conferred Honorary Membership on Ambassador Anneli Lindahl-Kenny for her significant contributions in promoting trade relations between Sweden and Bangladesh. Under her leadership, the first ever Swedish Business Delegation visited Bangladesh, high profile visits of Swedish Minister and State Secretaries were organized, launching of environmental health & safety centre, various initiatives in the field of education and development, Embassy’s support in conducting the first ever Nordic Business Confidence Survey and the formation of the Nordic Chamber.
