Why become a member

NCCI will become a unified and strong voice in Bangladesh for the Nordic companies. As a member of NCCI you will receive a periodic news update with information on issues of interest for Nordic companies and you will every quarter be invited for a Wall Street Meetings.

At the Wall Street Meeting one of the Nordic Ambassadors will give a brief on the political and economic situation in Bangladesh. The Wall Street Meetings will also be used for inviting local VIPs for discussions on relevant subjects as investment climate, infrastructure issues etc. Nordic companies will also be encouraged to participate with presentations on initiatives, challenges or other issues of interests. It is also the intention to invite local VIPs such as Ministers, representatives from Board of Investment, Energy and other infrastructure authorities etc.

As member of the NCCI you will also be invited to social gatherings and other adhoc arrangements initiated by the chamber e.g. conferences focusing on issues like CSR or Doing business in Bangladesh. The NCCI will have a full time employed secretariat and the chamber is expect to build capacity to be able to advise Nordic companies in how to set-up business in Bangladesh and how to e.g. carry out CSR-work and who to contact when having legal issues etc.

Membership is open for all legal entities (companies and organizations) registered in a Nordic country or in Bangladesh having at least 20% Nordic ownership. Non-Nordic companies with a strong relation with any Nordic country may be granted membership for up to three years through a 25% quota.
